National Weather Service representatives from Salt Lake City, Utah, and Pocatello, Idaho, will discuss the decision-support planning resources available to the public works community. NWS has a suite of products and services including Interactive NWS, NWSChat, and social media and web services applications. They’ll discuss how you can find relevant forecast information, Radar and Probabilistic Snowfall Forecasts, and winter weather impact thresholds. They’ll also cover FHWA’s Pathfinder program, the Utah Road Weather Partners public-private coordination working group, and the Weather Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador program.
