It's hard to get three-quarters of anyone to do anything, but last year, 77% of pregnant women created a baby registry – a 12% year over year increase. What’s driving the growth?   Not so long ago, Babies R Us was a leading registry destination for expectant parents. Now that the mega-chain is closed, where did their shoppers go?   Consumer behavior and market-place consolidation continues to disrupt the traditional registry experience. In what ways are soon-to-be-moms rethinking how they create and manage their baby registry?   BabyCenter surveyed close to 1,500 women, either pregnant or with a new baby, 0-6 months old, to reveal the five biggest trends in baby registry and how brands can work them to their advantage. We explore the “why” behind the trends, drill down into product and brand preferences, and compare behaviors among first-time and more experienced and Millennial vs. Gen Z moms.
