Training is not a singular event that takes place only at the start of an employee’s tenure with a park or attraction. To be effective and to ensure that our guest’s safety remains a top priority, training must be an ongoing perpetual process of teaching new foundational skills consistently and following up on those fundamentals through critical self-assessment, auditing, and in-service training. Applying to ride operations, F&B operations, entertainment operations, and maintenance operations, this course will focus on how to improve training retention and safe performance long after initial training is over. We will look at how facilities can best assess their own performance, the potential value of using third-party auditors, and the importance of regular in-service training to continually reinforce good safety practices.
