Leadership is uniquely positioned to make decisions and provide guidance to your company's lean journey. They will help strike a supportive tone, enable resources to focus on the prize, and ensure that the company's actions and strategies are in alignment. We will review examples how leadership has successfully enabled a company's lean journey and we will also explore examples where leadership got in the way of progress. Although there is not a cookie-cutter approach for successful lean implementation and transformation, there are some guidelines which increase the probability of long-term success and sustainable results. Attendees to this presentation who are the leadership will gain an appreciation for how they can positively enable improvements and change. Attendees who are deeper in the organization (front-line employees, supervisors, technicians, and managers) will learn how they can support the leadership so that they are all pulling in the same direction.
