In this session, Nicco Reggente, PhD, will speak about the endocannabinoid system (ECS)-- the network of neurons throughout your body that respond to cannabis-- and its role in homeostasis. Reggente will also discuss the various ways in which the cannabinoids and terpenes found in the cannabis plant interact with your ECS in complex ways to produce a great variety of different cognitive and medical effects. The session will end with commentary on how a personalized approach to cannabis medicine takes these complexities into account and is necessary for effective treatments.
