Drones have exploded in a dozen verticals and a dozen more spin offs, Entertainment, Real Estate, Inspection, Security, Mapping, Surveying, to name a few.  In dawn of the "drone age" it was ok to self educate,  to teach yourself how to fly, film, inspect, and actually you didn't have much choice as drone educational institutions and educators just didn't exist.  However  as these verticals have matured and institutional companies have added drone fleets to their business infrastructure, competently trained pilots have become the mainstay.  There are many different "drone schools' and "drone courses" popping up across the aerial land scape.  Both private and public institutions are looking to start up their own education courses both a challenging task in and outside the class room.  This session will give educators, educational institutions, current and future drone pilots, a deep dive on what works and does not work in academic and flight curriculum, what track these flight courses should take, and what 3 successful years as a drone flight instructor looks like.
