The Mission of the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is to showcase physical fitness, generate community goodwill, and promote the high standards and discipline of the Marine Corps. The MCM serves to advocate for the USMC Core values of honor, courage and commitment. The MCM presents a premier road race targeting the average man and woman; hence its nickname: “The People’s Marathon.”
