Tracks: Deep Dive Workshops

LEED, Living Building, Green Guide, WELL, RELi—another day, another rating system. Join this facilitated conversation with industry experts and health system leaders Jenna Agins of NYU Langone,  Don Orndoff of Kaiser Permanente, and Jon Utech of Cleveland Clinic, moderated by Steve Guttmann, chair of the LEED for Healthcare project committee, as they discuss what's working and what's not in today’s green building certification systems. Explore the value proposition of certification and hear from systems who "design to LEED levels but without certifying." Hear about the newest tools in the marketplace (including RELi and WELL), and the increased use of resilience and wellness rating systems in healthcare projects. Attendees will learn from one another and collectively create a picture of the current state of design practice using rating and certification systems and identify what the healthcare sector really needs from these systems to deliver healthier, restorative, and regenerative buildings that support health system goals to improve care and reduce costs
