While there are many different types of exam rooms, it is not clear which layouts may best improve the user experience. This presentation looks at new trends in clinic design and how exam rooms are evolving to address changes in delivery models. The presenters will share research evaluation results of more than a dozen exam rooms and explain how different layouts may impact the user experience of patients, family members, and providers. The results reveal performance scores of different exam rooms and demonstrate the methods that can be used for design, evaluation, and comparison of different exam room layouts when choosing between options.
