Tracks: Lessons Learned

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Refresh Program is an example of what can be accomplished in a fully functioning hospital when leadership buy-in is secured and a strong design/implementation team is in place. The goal of the Refresh Program is to facilitate finish upgrades in the active hospital via a multi-phased approach, minimizing impact to patient bed revenue generation and incorporating a nimble “lessons learned” process. The beneficial results of this program have been realized through a positive impact on staff satisfaction, an improved standard of care for patients, and an extension of life to our aging facilities.
