Interactive Roundtable Discussions
Transforming a long-vacant 1980s office building into a world-class, state-of-the-art cancer ambulatory surgical and treatment care facility was a challenge. Syska Hennessy Group was retained to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and energy modeling services. The design team performed a single-phased, gut renovation and expansion to bring this 285,000-square-foot LEED ID+C Gold facility to life on time and on budget. This roundtable will focus on lessons learned from the project. Topics discussed will include the benefits of biophilic design, future-proofing a facility through technology infrastructure, relocating a full-service oncology treatment facility off-campus, and developing cost-effective energy-efficient building systems.
