Interactive Roundtable Discussions
Clinician involvement is essential to the success of any healthcare design project centered around patient care delivery. Many challenges exist in obtaining optimal physician engagement including time constraints, differing priorities, competing interests, insufficient knowledge of the design and development process, and self-value of their contribution. These roundtable moderators will review practicing physicians’ perspectives on challenges to optimal engagement in the Lean design process and how the design project ultimately met patient care goals. Viewpoints from the CEO and founder of a major healthcare consulting group and industry thought leader will also be shared for discussion around additional lessons learned, contrast, and perspective.
