T03 - Ochsner Health System – Bridge to North Campus (Room Follow signs outside Hall G to Shuttle Pick-Up)

02 Nov 19
1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

The Ochsner Health System Bridge to North Campus Tour will include visiting three facilities.  The Primary Care and Wellness Center, designed by the joint venture of Eskew+Dumez+Ripple and Rozas Ward Architects, is a converted 89,000 square foot warehouse.  The design created four clinical pods with 97 exam rooms, laboratory, imaging, educational services and health care technology retail space.  The Michael R. Boh Center for Child Development, designed by Rozas Ward Architects, is a three-phase conversion of a two-story building that expands Ochsner’s pediatric services.  The tour will provide insights on designing spaces for children with neuro-muscular, neuro-cognitive, behavioral and communication related conditions.  The third facility on the tour is the Outpatient Imaging Center a 23,500 square foot building designed by Rozas Ward Architects.  The center houses ultrasound, mammography, MRI, CT, X-ray and EOS treatment rooms.  Relocation of this service was to improve the patient experience and allow for the expansion of other services on the south campus.

The facilities on this tour are part of a multi-year Master Plan which developed new or renovated clinical space, converted another warehouse into an academic building and simulation lab, a specialty pharmacy and a pedestrian bridge connecting the south and north campuses over a federal highway.   Ochsner Health System is Louisiana’s largest nonprofit, academic, multispecialty healthcare delivery system.  They have been serving Louisiana residents since 1942.
