Social justice statistics show how disproportionately Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+ communities are underserved at the end-of-life. Despite tremendous growth in palliative and hospice care, there is a pressing need to address disparities in end-of-life care. Increased strategizing to improve access to end-of-life care among the historically underserved will close disparity gaps and help care providers embrace a better understanding of how to reduce disparities in the provisions of end-of-life care. This presentation will address key benefits of integrating JEDI into hospice and palliative care.
