NASS 2019 Annual Meeting

NASS After Hours: SI-Joint Hands-On Workshop (Non-CME) Ticket Required (Room Gold Theater & Orange Lab (The Learning Place))

25 Sep 19
3:45 PM - 8:00 PM

Tracks: Industry Presentation

The Sacroiliac (SI) Joint  procedure  fuses the ilac bone (pelvis) to the spine (sacrum) for stabilization of the entire spine.

This procedure may be performed as a MIS procedure or as an open surgical case requiring a larger incision and a longer recovery time.

The popularity of this joint fusion has increased rapidly over the past five years as more than more spine companies (presently 18) have developed implants to treat this condition.

This two hour didactic session will review the current state of the spinal condition and the various means to treat it.

Upon completion of this session/lab, participants will be able to:

  • Identify SI joint dysfunction
  • Understand the diagnostic processes and surgical options
  • Become knowledgeable of the reimbursement policy changes
  • Trial 2-3 companies that offer Si-Joint Implants to treat this condition
