Technology is more than the latest classroom tool. Administrators and educators must be able to look beyond isolated gadgetry and free-to-try web applications to leverage technology for mission-based decision-making. Technology and data should be a part of strategic thinking in academics, student support, athletics, and safety. This presentation introduces a concrete process for mission-based decision-making using data, discusses ways to support uncomfortable and necessary conversations, and provides examples of diagnosing and responding to data-driven issues. Tools to gather data, create dashboards, and infographics will be demonstrated.
