Michael Anderson, The PTR Group LLC // IEEE 802.15.4 is known as the MAC layer for a number of protocols including Zigbee, Wireless HART, ZWave, Thread and 6LoWPAN. This session highlights the characteristics of IEEE 802.15.4 for longer-range and robust communications approaches and the specific IP-routable protocol known as 6LoWPAN. This includes the use of sub-GHz frequencies for long range usage.
