Increasing Automation Success and Optimizing RF Spectrum Allocation Planning (Room 225-227)

Increasing the level of automation employed is a critical success factor in almost every aspect of our business. The strategy identified in this presentation from Cox improves success in two dimensions: (1) providing a career trajectory for employees who may not be interested in learning automation tools, thereby reducing organizational resistance, and (2) employing these skills as part of day-to-day work primes the different areas to optimally support automation. Additionally, Charter will demonstrate how to manage RF spectrum with an optimization model that treats 6 MHz channel slots like supply chain commodities. The process identifies the number of 6 MHz channel slots that are required to meet the demand for any set of existing and future linear and switched video, digital audio, and IP data.
