Mobile "x-Haul" and DOCSIS (Room 208-209)

It’s not just “backhaul” anymore – as cable operators increase their mobile/wireless reach, they’ll do so to backhaul, midhaul and fronthaul mobile traffic from LTE and 4G small cells. Hence the term “x-haul,” to cover them all. As it turns out, that’s the next job for DOCSIS – to enable operators to deploy small cells in homes or on the strand. This involves location, power, and transport – with high bandwidth and low latency. This panel will cover two key technologies that will make this happen: Low latency x-haul, and DOCSIS synchronization.
