The Fiber Summit will address a variety of topics related to fiber technology and its deployment. It will discuss how utilities are deploying more fiber to support their internal and external communications needs. It will feature case studies comparing maintenance of OPGW, ADSS, and underground fiber, as well as possible scenarios on how a linecrew would handle and install OPGW and ADSS. Finally, it will discuss issues related to qualified fiber workers, ADSS lifecycle, testing fiber cable at 100 Gig and grounding OPGW prior to splicing. This will be an information-rich summit on everything related to utility fiber.
