The hype surrounding 5G is tremendous, and its promises to bring faster speeds and greater connections have dominated the telecommunications policy space for the last few years. But just what is 5G? And will it really bring about the incredible changes being suggested? And just how will electric utilities be impacted? To answer some of these questions, UTC commissioned a report to analyze just how utilities will be affected by the 5G revolution. In this session, panelists will discuss the findings of this paper in detail. Attendees will learn how utilities may be able to take advantage of 5G and review some unintended consequences usually not found in the marketing hype.
