This session will allow participants to fully understand the dynamics of changes being proposed by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) payments and policies for FY20 and beyond. Simply knowing standardized amounts and wage index values is not sufficient to budget and prepare for Medicare changes and their impacts on individual operations. The session will focus on the Inpatient Prospective Payment System as well as skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation services, psychiatric facilities, and hospice PPS programs. Additionally, possible legislation from Congress will be discussed.
