Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD) is a prevalent condition that presents in as many as 45% of all incontinent patients in the acute care setting. In addition to pain and discomfort, IAD is an independent risk factor for hospitalacquired pressure injuries. This session will introduce you to a new to market technology called the WatchCare™ Incontinence Management System. The WatchCare™ Incontinence Management System provides caregivers with real-time incontinence detection and is designed to: protect the patient’s skin, improve the patient experience, and optimize caregiver effectiveness. This new system could help reimagine the current nursing workflow for managing a patient’s urinary incontinence as part of a comprehensive prevention strategy.
