Approved for 1 CompTIA CEU: A+, Network+

The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) recognizes that security is foundational to acquisition and should not be traded along with cost, schedule, and performance moving forward. To insure that these goals are met OSD is providing a preliminary briefing to educate government and industry stakeholders that consists of a review of various cybersecurity standards and best practices that will map controls and processes across several cybersecurity levels to reduce risk against a specific set of cyber threats.  The outcome will be a requirement by government and industry to earn a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification to enable them to compete within the cybersecurity product and services market within the government.

This session will provide attendees with preliminary information and timelines during 2020 to gain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certifications.  Initial implementation for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) by Government will begin in June 2020 and full implementation is expected to take place during 2021.
