IT6 | Launching an AR/VR/360 Pop-Up Lab to Gather Data to Support Future Demands (Room Dixie)

In cooperation with other departments at Northeastern University, Academic Technology Services (ATS) undertook a measured effort in augmented reality and virtual reality technologies to better leverage NU’s existing AR/VR/360 capabilities and build capacity to support future demands. ATS sponsored an AR/VR/360 Pop-Up Lab that was a pilot of limited duration and limited capacity, with the goal of gathering data to see what is needed to enable, support, and scale AR/VR/360 at NU. The lab was designed to be accessible for those who are unfamiliar with these technologies and for those with experience. This session will present an overview of the project and share the critical information learned from it.
