One of the most successful student success projects at Del Mar College, The VikingGo mobileapp, provides a modern look and feel for prospective and/or existing students. The VikingGo mobile app is robust enough to allow for the removal of the “fat portal” system. Using VikingGo, prospective or current students are able to apply, access the online catalog, see courses by term, perform online orientation, register/add/drop courses, make payments and much more. In addition there is an Ask-the-Viking function, a 24/7 database of about 1,000 answers to known student services questions. This session will take you through the development of Ask-the-Viking and offer strategies for similar implementations at your campus.
