The 2018 College & University AV Benchmark Survey was established to gain and share campus AV technology operational statistics. Researchers polled over 450 institutions and received 109 responses from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The responses included large, medium, and small institutions ranging from community colleges to public and private campuses. The survey gathered information about staffing levels and organizational structure in academic institutions’ AV management, design and support departments, including capital and operational budgets, and technology applications in lecture, classroom, and meeting rooms, plus digital signage.
