University of Utah’s Teaching & Learning Technologies (TLT) recently developed and deployed a One-Button Studio solution called Simple Studio. This self-service recording solution builds on the One-Button Studio concept that has become a popular video tool at many institutions of higher education. In this version, TLT designed its solution around Crestron, Extron, and Kaltura recording and delivery infrastructure that is standard at the University of Utah. In addition, the Simple Studio incorporates card reader functionality for security and auto-assignment of video files. The studio also incorporates a touchscreen wizard that guides users through the recording process. Come hear an overview of TLT’s design of the Simple Studio, a description of key features and integrations with existing systems, as well as faculty experience in the studio and lessons learned.
