AV3 | Managing AV Services With a Decentralized Support System (Room Nassau)

11 Jun 19
10:20 AM - 11:05 AM

Tracks: AV Integration

At the University of Georgia, AV support is mostly decentralized, ultimately tasking the local computer support staff to make important AV decisions. The only group solely dedicated to AV is housed within UGA’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). This session will discuss how a small group of employees created AV standards on a campus with over 650 classrooms. You’ll see how they identified every learning space on campus, organized them all into an interactive database, then used remote monitoring software to better support them. While focusing mainly on standardization and support of AV, this session will also discuss the authoring of AV Installation Standards with the University Architect Office.

Note: This session is presented by CCUMC, a UBTech program partner.
