In 2017, the REAL Women in Trucking created the “Queen of the Road” and the “Trucking Industry Trailblazer” award upon observing how few recognition awards in the trucking industry focused on the women of trucking who drive or focused on superficial traits rather than the substance of these remarkable women.
The creation of the Queen of the Road Awards provided the 1st dignified recognition award for women truck drivers that have overcome personal challenges not only in the trucking industry but in life. These women demonstrate a “Pay it Forward” approach to help others by sharing their wisdom. They are women that exemplify the definition of “Servant Leadership”.
