Modernization remodels are critical to keeping buildings relevant, competitive and code compliant. When those projects include building transportation equipment, tenant convenience and traffic flow are important elements of the project. In this idea exchange, NEII members will discuss recent building remodel or modernization projects that involved elevator systems. The facilitated discussion will focus on the remodel process as case studies with both successes the lessons learned highlighted. Attendees will hear about how the building owners and elevator manufacturers worked together on the project, what went well and what they would do differently in another similar project.
