The Water and Waste (W2) Challenge is BOMA International’s ground-breaking initiative to support the real estate sector in benchmarking water and waste consumption. In partnership with Yardi and local BOMA associations this program brings the industry’s sustainability efforts to the next level. The 1st year of the Challenge established a baseline of water and waste data using ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®, and the 2nd year promotes performance improvements through best practices and case studies. This panel will share lessons learned from Year 1 of the Challenge, highlighting best practices for improving water and waste performance, success stories from program participants, and ways you can get involved.
