Security programs have historically operated reactively to the environment and events occurring around a customer’s assets. The evolution of intelligence and technology tools, however, usher in a new paradigm of security. Today’s security managers have the ability and responsibility to not only respond to threats, but to proactively address areas of risk early on by intelligently allocating and managing their security resources under constrained budgetary environments. This can be done by the careful measurement, collection and analysis of multi-source big data, and by applying different analytical processes to enable predictive and prescriptive modeling for the past, present, and future time periods.
