The Building Codes Committee is crucial in maintain BOMA’s position as the leading commercial real estate organization in the development of model codes and standards.  The committee works to educate BOMA members in federal, state and local code adoption and how they can participate in these processes.   The committee provides information and assistance to work with local building and fire regulators, and local and state legislators regarding issues that affect our industry when adopting and enforcing building and fire codes, and applicable regulations.   In addition, BOMA’s membership is kept informed of and is encouraged to participate in national codes and standards development through committee participation.
