ErgoExpo 2019

MH5 | Bio-Ergo Assessments, Clinical Algorithms and Coaching: Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Better EH&S Outcomes (Room Champagne 1)

Working together, occupational medicine clinicians, certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, employees and ergonomics professionals can help prevent and manage work-related soft tissue injuries. Dr. Harris will present updated findings on the use of wearable bio-ergonomic assessments and discuss the use of clinical algorithms to identify “hidden” injury risk factors and ensure consistency and accuracy in bio-ergo data collection and analysis. In addition, Dr. Harris and Mr. Magana will present a case study from Southern California Edison and discuss the design of individual and job-specific interventions based on bio-ergo assessments that accurate measure overuse injury risk.
