A sound understanding of how ergonomics integrates into all work environments can help reduce the number of overexertion-related injuries in the work environment. Ms. Rivera will focus on industrial (active) ergonomic integration and overexertion identification as applied beyond the office work environment. She will share results from an assessment conducted last year by the Ergonomics Program and Custodial Services at Sandia National Laboratory and explore best practices identified with integrating ergonomics and proactive preventive methods to create safer, cleaner, healthier and happier working environments.
