WS6 | Environmental Health and Safety: Smart Investment or Unnecessary Costs? (Room Versailles 1-2)

Every year, some 2.3 million people around the world are killed due to work-related accidents or diseases. Dr. Oyewole will discuss ways these tragedies can be prevented through a new technique for evaluating EHS performance measures with respect to unanticipated risks created by rapidly evolving technology, workforce turnover, aging equipment and infrastructure, and complex industrial and legal compliance standards. Through the collection and analysis of data, which is compared to thousands of other similar companies, letter grades are assigned annually to depict an organization’s EHS performance ratings. Learn how this new approach provides an extra layer of protection to organizations that already have an active performance assessment system in place for their EHS programs and can act as a baseline for new evaluation methods.
