PM9 | Ergonomics Education and Programs: A Multidisciplinary Approach to a Multidisciplinary Field (Room Champagne 1)

In academia, the UC Ergo Program provides ergonomics training at UC San Francisco and UC Berkeley to the occupational health nursing, medical residency, industrial hygiene, public health and engineering programs. In the corporate world, Genentech integrates ergonomics into the EH&S and engineering departments, occupational health services, and workplace planning. Ms. Afterman and Ms. Honan will show that despite the challenges of creating these integrated programs, creating customized pathways to success within various fields and disciplines is the key to building a sustainable ergonomics program.
