OF6 | Good Work Design for Diversity and Agility: A Practical Approach (Room Champagne 2)

22 Aug 19
1:45 PM - 2:45 PM

Tracks: Office Ergonomics

Good work design is the process of identifying human opportunities and problems through inquiry and bringing people and teams together to create empirical and robust solutions. One method of enacting good work design is to design for diversity. This session will relay the theory behind good work design and convey real-world findings through a case study about an “invisible” consideration for diversity: the sensory profile, or the way humans register, interpret, and respond to their sensory world. A project review of the agile work design of Australia’s hallmark well-being project – Medibank Private, Docklands – will be presented also. We will discuss constraint-based innovation and program considerations in a human-centered organization that reflect resilient and enterprising capability.
