Amazon’s vision is to be Earth’s most customer-centric company where customers can find anything they want to buy online. Amazon not only obsesses over customers but also over the health and safety of associates. The company’s approach to ergonomics focuses on three areas – the physical, cognitive and organizational aspects. With thousands of Amazon associates and sites at work, traditional approaches to ergonomics are not always scalable which requires innovative thinking and implementation. This session will provide insights into Amazon’s safety and ergonomics journey, challenges and opportunities, and Amazon’s approach to leveraging technology in the ergonomics program.
