Offshore WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition 2019

Meeting the Vessel Challenge (Room Avenue 34 – Studio 1&2)

The offshore wind industry in the North Eastern U.S. is rapidly developing and it will very soon transition into the project execution phase for multiple projects at the time. One key constraint will likely be the availability of suitable installation vessels and the related infrastructure such as harbors, feeder barges, lift boats, etc.  Speakers in this session will discuss and provide the latest insights into the different installation methodologies seen from various stakeholders involved in the process. It also aims at providing ideas and suggestions for how the capacity constraints on installation vessels and related infrastructure can be overcome in time to meet the U.S. offshore wind industry’s needs.
