2019 Federal Identity Forum & Exposition

Keynote Panel - Rapid DNA: From Laboratory Research to Forest Fires (Joint with BTAS) (Room Exhibit Hall Theater)

Rapid DNA: From Laboratory Research to Forest Fires will discuss the process by which a new biometric has been created, tested and implemented in the Field.  DNA as a biometric – a fully automated process to accurately identify persons and verify biological relationships – has been in development for 10 years.  DNA has applications that extend beyond any other biometric including verifying family relationships in mass casualty situations and preventing human trafficking.  DNA, and other biometrics, also have implications on science and society that must be addressed.
