A series of groundbreaking papers published by internationally leading researchers in The Lancet warns that low back pain is a major health burden globally and that the current use of X-rays and scans, opioids, injections and surgery to investigate and treat the condition is often useless, unnecessary and even harmful. Professor Jan Hartvigsen, a Palmer graduate and one of the lead authors, will outline the findings of these landmark papers and what they mean for chiropractors.
