This session highlights groundbreaking process-engineered fuel projects that recently have begun commercial operations.The recovery of “process engineered fuels” from municipal solid waste offers communities a relatively low-cost alternative of recovering energy from waste. PEFs meet EPA standards and can be used in industrial boilers or cement kilns without having to meet traditional waste combustion air regulations.
