The RMF process is a highly manual process that often takes 12-18 months to prepare an authorization package and receive ATO approval. It frequently takes over 3000 man-hours to prepare and process an authorization package, and this must be repeated every 3 years (sometimes more frequently). This topic will discuss leveraging modern technologies to automate much of the process in order to reduce the cost and time spent on RMF paperwork. This topic will also address opportunities to achieve RMF Step 6, Continuous Monitoring.
