Washington became the 21st state to legalize sports betting in March 2020. The legislative battle was a victory for the tribes over strong opposition from card room interests in the state. The new law legalizes in-person sports wagering at tribal government gaming locations which are expected to go live by the start of the football season. In this important session, Tribal leaders will explain how the deal was done, describe the bumps in the road, and discuss all aspects of their developing plans to offer on-site, retail sports betting.
