Tony Eguavoen




Mr. Eguavoen is the Senior Deputy Labor Commissioner and has been employed with Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, also known as the California Labor Commissioner’s Office since 1999.  Tony is an experienced investigator. He is currently supervising staff in the public works unit. His staff works in prevailing wage enforcement involving high volume, complex and sensitive investigations as well as apprentice compliance. Tony has expertise in other programs within the Labor Commissioner’s office including Wage Adjudication and the Bureau of Field Enforcement.  Tony obtained a Bachelor (BS) in Finance from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio and Master of Public Administration (MPA) from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
