Since 2007 Paul James has established and developed Ramboll`s UK business focussing upon the Power and Waste to Energy sectors. Before joining Ramboll he gained international recognition for his work on the thermal treatment of waste. He is the author of / major contributor to several key technical and policy documents setting out the regulatory and technical standards for industrial processes, including a period seconded to the European Commission as a National Expert, where he was responsible for the official EC guidance on Best Available Techniques (BAT) for the thermal treatment of wastes, the “BREF” (2006). Originally trained as a chemist and in chemical engineering, Paul now specialises in developing projects and business for Ramboll in the Energy sector, with a particular focus upon major power projects.
