Gwyn Dolben is currently Head of European Affairs at Energy UK, which is the trade association for the UK electricity and gas companies, created in 2012. In this role he is responsible for coordinating relations between the UK energy sector and the EU institutions on a range of energy market and energy policy issues. He has served on a number of European Commission and UK Government consultative groups on energy, and has chaired EURELECTRIC working groups on energy policy, thermal power generation, carbon capture & storage and gas liberalisation. From 2003-2012 he worked for the Association of Electricity Producers, also on European issues. Prior to that he held a number of management posts in electricity companies, the UK Government and industry trade associations, covering economic regulation, public affairs and European relations.
