Brief Biographical Statement: Formerly in the chemical industry (he had been Director of R&D, and Process Technology, of an international company co-leader in fluorinated specialties for 14 years), Massimo Malavasi is SVP R&D, and Process Technology, of ITEA Spa, technology arm of Sofinter-Ansaldo Caldaie Group, since 2002. He is leading the Group effort for the development and exploitation of highly innovative energy technologies, and principally Flameless Pressurized Oxy-Combustion for low carbon footprint applications. More than ten patents, and numerous papers on international magazines, whiteness his contribution to industrial processes advancement.
